I Walk For A Living. Here Are My Favorite Arch Support Shoes!

In the past I've had issues with #PlantarFasciitis, #AnklePain, & #KneePain. In addition to seeing my #chiropractor, re-strengthening my feet with The Short Foot Exercise (seen below at the end of this article), & yoga; I have finally settled on my favorite shoes for every season of the year! Each season also has links to some of my personal favorite must haves.

...Let's start with Spring, since quite honestly I'm just really over Winter!!

SPRING

Rain boots for Spring were honestly the hardest to find. I am a half size (10.5, yikes I know). I quickly realized that even on-line 99% of rain boots, for whatever reason, do not come in half sizes!! Even though I ordered a 10, these Chooka City Solid Rain Boots ($22 from #SierraTradingPost), fit just right! They have Memory-foam inserts, are super lightweight, & are so stinking cute! I am so ready to go splash in some puddles in these.

SUMMER

In my opinion, #JohnMayer was spot on when he said "a little bit of summer's what the whole year's all about!" I love summer so much. For doggo visits in which I don't need to run, I slip these Abeo Fantine Sandals, (a steal at just $44.25 from #Abeo) on to let my feet breathe a bit... & honestly so I can make sure my sock tan line is a little less obvious. I love the built-in #orthotics, straps to make sure they stay on, & #Vibram soles. I recommend wearing these around the house & such to break them in before going out & walking around in them all day. They're stylish too, so you can easily wear these out for a night on the town as well!

AUTUMN

Autumn. What's not to love? Beautiful leaves, bon fires, & football! These Cloudflow Running Shoes, ($139.99 from #OnRunning Brand & worth every penny), honestly make you feel like walking on a cloud without losing any of the support our feet crave. These are great for running or walking all day long! They are lightweight, breathable, & have a nice grip.  (Are you noticing a trend? I cannot stand heavy footwear. Guess it's the California beach girl in me.)

WINTER

I don't have the nicest things to say about winter. I am however grateful that being a #ProfessionalDogWalker forces me to get out of the house, thus lessening my #SeasonalDepression. I absolutely adore my Kamik Women's Snowvalley Boots, ($100 from #Amazon). Much to my delight, they do come in half sizes, because I love me some wool socks! These boots are (yet again) lightweight, affordable, waterproof, supportive, & unbelievably warm (but not in a sweaty way)!

I did purchase a few add-ons so my boots & I could make it through these lengthy Michigan winters.

And one more bonus item because we need all of the help we can get to survive #Michigan #Winters...

  • Natural Hand Balm ($14.99 from Amazon. Just put it on before bed, sleep in cotton gloves. No more hand cracking!!)

Wondering if I was going to forget to include the arch support exercise? Here it is! Last but not least, here are instructions for The Short Foot Exercise. Thank you so much for reading! I hope what ever footwear you land on keeps you & your feet extra happy all year round!
